| Jackie D. Armstrong studied at Wayne State University in Detroit and L'Institute de Science Politique in France before she was awarded a B.A. degree in political science with highest honors (1974) and a Juris Doctorate (1978) from The University of Michigan. She practiced in Colorado, Michigan and Massachusetts before starting her Iowa practice in 1996 with Brown, Kinsey, Funkhouser and Lander. She practices in areas of law related to work or the inability to work, including Workers' Compensation and Social Security. |

Jackie is married to Gary Levinson, a pulmonary physician, and has three children, Elana, Jacob and Benjamin. She is a member of ITLA , NOSSCR and the Iowa Organization of Workers' Compensation Attorneys. She has volunteered for the District 2A Bar Association, Cerro Gordo County Bar Association, District 2 Judicial Selection Committee, District 2 Grievance Commission, Iowa Organization of Women Attorneys, Mason City Schools, Mason City Education Foundation, United Way, Adas Israel Synagogue and the Mason City Public Library. She enjoys cross country skiing, books, canoeing and cooking and, after living in three countries and six states, appreciates the unique beauty of Iowa's plains and the grounded sensibility of Iowans.
